Two major trunk roads connect Goring to towns/cities to the east and west.
A27 provides road connections through to Salisbury in the west and
Eastbourne/Bexhill in the east.
The A27 runs parallel to the coast connecting Goring to Southampton, Portsmouth, Chichester, Brighton, Lewes and Eastbourne. It links to the M27 between Portsmouth and the New Forest. Southampton Airport and Southampton Port are easy to reach from the M27. Beyond Southampton, there are good connections to the rest of the South Coast and the West Country.
A259 also runs parallel to the coast from Goring west to Emsworth and east
to Brighton, Eastbourne and Folkestone in Kent.
A259 runs nearer to the sea than the A27. Bognor Regis, Littlehampton, Worthing, Shoreham, Brighton, Newhaven, Seaford and Eastbourne are linked via the A259. The A259 provides good access to Newhaven Port.
Travelling inland to the North
A24 connects Goring to London and the M25.
This is the main London to Worthing trunk road. Motorists can join it via the A280 Long Furlong or at the Offington Roundabout at the back of Worthing. The M25 is about an hour away from Goring and drivers can use the A24 to Gatwick Airport, via a connection at Horsham, in about 45 minutes.
